Jakarta – Setelah nama-nama seperti Khofifah Indar Parawansa dan Yenny Wahid yang sebelumnya dianggap sebagai calon kuat untuk posisi Wakil Presiden (Cawapres), kini satu nama lain yang dianggap menjadi kandidat terkuat adalah Anies Baswedan.
Perlu diketahui, Anies adalah Calon Presiden (Capres) yang didukung oleh Koalisi Perubahan, yang terdiri dari tiga partai politik yaitu Partai Nasional Demokrat (Nasdem), Partai Demokrat, dan Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (PKS). Ketua Umum Partai Demokrat, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), juga disebut memiliki peluang yang besar untuk menjadi calon Wakil Presiden mendampingi Anies Baswedan. Hal ini diungkapkan pada hari Minggu (23/7/2023).
Wakil Ketua Umum (Waketum) Partai Nasdem Ahmad Ali mengatakan bahwa mengatakan peluang Ketua Umum Partai Demokrat Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono menjadi cawapres Anies sangat besar.
Namun Ahmad Ali menyerahkan semua pada Anies tentang sosok Cawapres yang nanti dipilihnya. Anies menurutnya tentu punya pertimbangan siapa sosok cawapres yang akan menemaninya bertarung di Pilpres 2024 mendatang.
“Kita konsisten untuk memberikan mandat itu kepada Anies Baswedan untuk memilih siapa cawapresnya. Namun kewenangan yang diberikan dan siapa yang ditunjuk itu harus bisa dijelaskan secara empiris, secara saintifik mengapa memilih seseorang,” tuturnya.
Soal ini, AHY pun angkat suara mengenai Cawapres yang akan diusung oleh Koalisi Perubahan. Namun ia tegaskan akan menyerahkan hal ini kepada Calon Presiden 2024 Anies Baswedan.
Sementara itu, AHY dan Anies diketahui nonton bareng pertandingan antara Timnas Indonesia versus Vietnam di Sentul, Bogor, Jawa Barat, hari ini Sabtu (22/7/2023). Presiden RI ke-6 Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) dikabarkan juga hadir untuk menonton Timnas Indonesia versus Vietnam.
Ketua Badan Komunikasi Strategis DPP Partai Demokrat, Herzaky Mahendra Putra, menjelaskan, Anies dan AHY tampak antusias dan tidak sabar ingin menyaksikan hasil akhir dari laga hari ini.
“Kita semua menunggu, prestasi apa lagi yang bakal ditorehkan oleh timnas Indonesia. Apalagi, ada atlet-atlet binaan Pak SBY dan Mas AHY dari LaVani yang ikut menjadi tulang punggung timnas Indonesia,” kata Herzaky dikutip dari CNN, Sabtu (22/7/2023).
Adapun sebelumnya sejumlah nama beredar sebagai calon Cawapres Anies, termasuk Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Sandiaga Uno, Yenny Wahid, Andika Perkasa, Ahmad Heryawan, Ahmad Syaikhu, Salim Segaf Al-Jufri dan Ridwan Kamil.
