Kukar- Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) Kutai Kartanegara (Kukar) menetapkan Awang Yacoub Luthman (AYL) dan Ahmad Zais (AZA) sebagai calon perseorangan pada pemilihan Bupati dan Wakil Bupati Kukar 2024.
Penetapan ini dilakukan setelah pasangan tersebut berhasil memenuhi syarat minimal dukungan serta sebaran yang diperlukan.
Kepastian tersebut disampaikan dalam Rapat Pleno Terbuka Penetapan Pemenuhan Syarat Dukungan Calon Perseorangan pada Pemilihan Bupati dan Wakil Bupati Kutai Kartanegara Tahun 2024, pada Senin (19/8/2024) di Hotel Grand Elty Singgasana Tenggarong.
Ketua KPU Kukar Rudi Gunawan menyatakan AYL-AZA telah memenuhi persyaratan minimal dukungan dan sebaran, yang menjadi syarat utama bagi calon perseorangan untuk maju dalam kontestasi pilkada.
“Penetapan nama bapaslon yang memenuhi persyaratan dukungan minimal dan sebaran sebagai bakal calon peserta pilkada,” ungkap Rudi.
Diketahui sebelumnya, AYL-AZA telah memenuhi dukungan minimal KPU Kukar sebanyak 40.730 dan dukungan tersebar di 11 kecamatan.
Dalam proses verifikasi, pasangan ini berhasil mengumpulkan total dukungan memenuhi syarat (MS) sebanyak 41.466, dengan dukungan tersebar di 20 kecamatan dari total 20 kecamatan yang ada di Kukar.
Dengan penetapan ini, tahapan calon perseorangan telah selesai, dan KPU akan melanjutkan proses pilkada dengan membuka pendaftaran bakal pasangan calon (Bapaslon) Bupati dan Wabup pada tanggal 27-29 Agustus 2024.
Pasca-penetapan, Awang Yacoub Luthman menyatakan rasa syukurnya dan menegaskan bahwa ia bersama Ahmad Zais akan menjalankan amanah yang diberikan oleh rakyat Kutai Kartanegara.
“Ini adalah amanah dari tuan-tuan saya, rakyat Kukar. Walaupun awalnya terasa mustahil, tetapi pencalonan independen ini akhirnya terwujud. Kami akan terus bekerja dengan semangat untuk menyelesaikan misi ini,” ujar AYL dengan penuh keyakinan.
AYL juga mengucapkan terima kasih kepada KPU dan Bawaslu yang telah menjalankan proses verifikasi dengan tegas namun tetap memberikan bimbingan yang diperlukan.
“Kami yakin segala upaya yang telah dilakukan hingga tahap ini sudah optimal. Terima kasih kepada KPU dan Bawaslu yang tegas namun tetap membimbing kami,”jelasnya.
Dengan penetapan AYL-AZA sebagai calon perseorangan, Pilkada Kukar 2024 dipastikan akan menjadi ajang kompetisi yang menarik, mengingat tantangan dan dinamika politik yang ada.
