Jakarta – Sebelumnya, banyak spekulasi mengenai potensi nama Khofifah Indar Parawansa sebagai Calon Wakil Presiden (Cawapres) Republik Indonesia bersama Anies Baswedan sebagai Calon Presiden (Capres) pada tahun 2024. Akan tetapi, berita terbaru menunjukkan bahwa Khofifah sebenarnya menolak untuk menjadi pendamping mantan Gubernur DKI Jakarta tersebut.
Ketua Dewan Pimpinan Pusat (DPP) Partai NasDem, Effendi Choiri, secara langsung mengungkapkan perubahan pandangannya. Ia menyatakan bahwa tidak lagi mendukung ide untuk mencalonkan Gubernur Jawa Timur, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, sebagai Cawapres yang mendampingi Anies Baswedan dalam Pilpres 2024.
Effendi Choiri menyatakan, bahwa memang partainya sempat menjalin komunikasi dan menawari Khofifah untuk mendampingi Anies. Namun, yang bersangkutan tak menerima tawaran tersebut.
“Dia enggak mau atau enggak berani,” ucap pria yang akrab disapa Gus Choi, dikutip CNN , Sabtu (22/7/2023).
Sementara itu, Gus Choi mengatakan saat ini partainya tak sedang mendorong sosok tertentu untuk mendampingi Anies. Ia bilang partainya telah menyerahkan sepenuhnya urusan cawapres kepada Anies. “Terserah Anies,” ujar Gus Choi.
Nama Khofifah Indar Parawansa sempat santer dikabarkan masuk dalam bursa cawapres Anies usulan NasDem. Ketua DPP Partai NasDem Sugeng Suparwoto sebelumnya mengaku sempat berkomunikasi dengan Khofifah soal itu.
“Termasuk dalam penjaringan ya, penjaringan nama wapres dan sebagainya. Tadi disebut Bu Khofifah memang satu dari sekian orang yang memang kita berkomunikasi,” kata Sugeng akhir Maret lalu.
Anies dalam beberapa kesempatan selalu irit bicara saat ditanya soal cawapres pendampingnya. Ia menyebut sosok cawapres akan diumumkan dalam waktu yang tepat.
Tiga partai pendukung Anies, NasDem, PKS, dan Demokrat memastikan nama cawapres telah di kantong Anies dan hanya tinggal diumumkan.
