Tasikmalaya – Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah (MPLS) di SMA Negeri 1 Taraju yang berlangsung dari tanggal 17 hingga 20 Juli 2023 telah berhasil mencapai puncak keberhasilan. Acara ini menarik antusiasme yang tinggi dari para siswa baru, yang nampak sangat bersemangat dalam mengikuti berbagai kegiatan yang diadakan selama MPLS.
Kepala Sekolah SMA Negeri 1 Taraju, Asep Risris Triyadi, S.Pd., MM., dalam sebuah wawancara, menegaskan betapa pentingnya keterlibatan serius para siswa baru dalam MPLS. Ia menjelaskan, “Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah harus diikuti dengan kesungguhan karena acara ini memberikan beragam ilmu, termasuk pendidikan karakter, tata krama, wawasan kebangsaan, budaya tertib lalu lintas, pencegahan NAPZA, budaya hidup sehat, literasi digital, dan berbagai hal lainnya. Semua ini bertujuan untuk mempersiapkan para siswa baru agar memiliki bekal yang cukup saat menghadapi proses belajar di SMA,” kata Asep pada Rabu, 19 Juli 2023.
MPLS di SMA Negeri 1 Taraju berlangsung selama 3 hari dengan tambahan 1 hari khusus untuk demonstrasi ekstrakurikuler. Ketua Pelaksana MPLS, Lucky Nugraha, S.Kom, menyatakan bahwa peserta didik baru menunjukkan antusiasme yang luar biasa, terutama dalam acara demonstrasi ekstrakurikuler oleh siswa kelas XI dan XII. “Kami melihat antusiasme yang tinggi dari peserta didik baru terhadap demonstrasi ekstrakurikuler yang diadakan oleh siswa kelas XI dan XII. Mereka sangat bersemangat untuk mengenal berbagai kegiatan di luar jam pelajaran yang dapat mereka ikuti di SMA ini,” ungkap Lucky Nugraha.
Tidak hanya itu, perwakilan siswa juga memberikan tanggapan positif terkait MPLS yang diselenggarakan di SMA Negeri 1 Taraju. Mereka menyebut acara tersebut seru dan memberikan wawasan baru. Selain itu, mereka juga menyampaikan bahwa MPLS ini memberikan peningkatan dalam berkomunikasi dan rasa percaya diri. “MPLS-nya seru, kami mendapatkan banyak ilmu dan wawasan baru dan suasana yang berbeda yang menantang kami untuk berani tampil didepan. Kami merasa senang bisa menjadi bagian dari kegiatan ini,” kata seorang perwakilan siswa.
Dengan antusiasme peserta didik baru yang tinggi dan respon positif dari perwakilan siswa, MPLS di SMA Negeri 1 Taraju tahun ini dapat dianggap sukses. Acara tersebut berhasil memberikan pengenalan yang komprehensif terhadap lingkungan sekolah, memberikan pembekalan karakter, dan memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang tata krama serta literasi digital. Semoga peserta didik baru dapat menerapkan dan memanfaatkan pengetahuan yang mereka dapatkan selama MPLS ini dalam perjalanan belajar mereka di SMA Negeri 1 Taraju.
