Samarinda – Seiring berkembangnya zaman, kegiatan belanja tak lagi menjadi rutinitas yang membosankan. Munculnya minimarket dengan berbagai fasilitas yang ditawarkan membuatnya tak butuh waktu lama untuk menjadikan acara belanja menjadi hal paling ditunggu masyarakat.
Tetapi, eksistensi toko tradisional atau kerap disebut toko kelontong yang menyediakan berbagai produk dan barang, juga belum terkalahkan. Masih banyaknya toko kelontong yang nampak berjejer di pinggir-pinggir jalan, menjadi tanda kehadirannya tak pudar.
Hal ini cukup seru dibahas. Menjamurnya minimarket, apakah berdampak langsung terhadap pola belanja masyarakat dan apakah masyarakat cenderung memfavoritkan salah satu tempat untuk belanja secara offline.
Siti (22) yang merupakan mahasiswa di salah satu universitas di Samarinda mengungkapkan dirinya lebih doyan berbelanja di minimarket ketimbang toko kelontong.
“Pilih minimarket dong,” ujarnya seusai berbelanja di minimarket, Jumat (2/8/2024).
Ketika ditanya alasannya, Siti menjawab dengan lugas bahwa kebersihan yang terjaga di minimarket menjadi alasan utamanya. Disusul sejuknya udara yang dihasilkan dari pendingin udara dan komplitnya barang yang dijual.
“Bisa bandingkan harga juga. Misalnya kan mau beli susu, susu merek 1 dan merek 2 beda harga, jadi bisa bandingkan harga gitu. Terbaik,” kata Siti.
Soal toko kelontong, Siti mengaku pernah berbelanja walau hanya sesekali. Ia menyebut terkadang apa yang dibutuhkannya, tidak tersedia. Harga yang ditawarkan juga dipukul rata. Berbeda dengan minimarket yang memiliki perbedaan harga walau hanya sekian ratus rupiah.
“Kita belum tahu harganya, lebih ramai juga antreannya,” keluhnya sambil memberi rating 6 dari 10 untuk pengalaman berbelanja di toko kelontong.
Serupa dengan Tesar (19) di hari yang sama juga setelah berbelanja di minimarket ternama berwarna kuning terang. Membeli conditioner, dia memberi jawaban “tergantung”.
“Tergantung, kalau barang-barang seperti skincare atau bodycare dan lain-lain, aku ke minimarket karena lebih lengkap dan karena lebih murah,” tuturnya.
Untuk kebutuhan seperti minuman dan makanan yang dibeli berjumlah banyak, Tesar memilih membeli di toko kelontong. Sebab dirasanya lebih murah dan pemilik kerap memberi harga diskon untuk pembelian banyak.
“Apalagi toko yang dulu saya beli, misal Goriorio (merek camilan), satu pack/kardus itu harga hancur di sana,” tutupnya.
Melihat perbandingan sederhana ini, kedua tempat tersebut memiliki keunggulan dan kekurangan masing-masing. Tetapi tidak dipungkiri, fasilitas dan kebersihan yang ditawarkan berpengaruh terhadap pola belanja masyarakat.
