“Ini visualisasi yang direncanakan oleh CATL di Halmahera Timur, baik dari segi infrastruktur perkapalan dan juga area untuk sudah disiapkan cukup matang. Jadi dari aspek refining (pengolahan nikel menjadi nikel sulfat) ada di sana. Hanya battery cell yang akan dibangun di Jawa, hampir 70% fasilitas di Halmahera Timur,” jelas Toto dalam Rapat Dengar Pendapat (RDP) bersama Komisi VII DPR RI, Jakarta, Rabu (12/4/2023).
Dia melanjutkan, proyek tersebut ditargetkan terbangun dan beroperasi pada tahun 2026 mendatang.
“Tentunya kita harapkan terealisasi 2026,” tambahnya.
Toto menyebut, nilai investasi CATL melalui cucu usaha, Ningbo Contemporary Brunp Lygend Co. Ltd. (CBL), di Indonesia ini diperkirakan mencapai US$ 5,6 miliar atau sekitar Rp 84 triliun (asumsi kurs Rp 15.000 per US$).
