Jakarta – Pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia terus menunjukkan pemulihan yang stabil dan kuat setelah dihantam pandemi Covid-19 beberapa waktu lalu. Bahkan, Indonesia menjadi salah satu negara yang memiliki pertumbuhan terkuat dan persisten tinggi di dunia.
Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang dapat dipertahankan di atas 5 persen dalam 6 kuartal berturut-turut. Bahkan, pertumbuhan ini berpotensi berlanjut pada kuartal II-2023. Hal ini diungkap oleh Menteri Keuangan Sri Mulyani Indrawati kepada CNBC, Rabu (21/7/2023).
Sri Mulyani mengatakan bahwa angka pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia yang konsisten ini dicapai di tengah perang, kenaikan harga pangan, energi serta kenaikan suku bunga.
“Jadi kalau tujuh kuartal itu bisa di atas 5%, itu kita melakukan sesuatu dengan benar,” kata Sri Mulyani dalam Dinner & Sharing with Sri Mulyani, Jumat (21/7/2023).
Pernyataan ini berarti Indonesia akan kembali membukukan pertumbuhan di atas 5% pada kuartal II-2023, setelah enam kuartal berturut-turut tumbuh di atas 5% atau tepatnya sejak kuartal IV-2021.
Cerita ini dibagikan Sri Mulyani kepada rekan-rekannya saat G20 dan membuat takjub banyak menteri keuangan.
“Indonesia sekarang stay di 5%, merekka drop the jaw (terpukau),” ungkapnya. Bahkan, dia menambahkan menteri keuangan Kanada menyampaikan kepadanya secara langsung agar Indonesia bisa mempertahankan pertumbuhan ini karena dunia membutuhkan kisah sukses saat ini.
“Kami butuh cerita sukses di saat ini,” ungkap Sri Mulyani yang menceritakan kembali pernyataan rekannya tersebut.
Selain Indonesia, di antara negara G20, India dan Turki membukukan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang tinggi. Namun, inflasi dan defisit fiskalnya juga cukup tinggi.
Sementara itu, Indonesia defisitnya diperkirakan akan mencapai 2,3% dan berpotensi lebih rendah lagi.
